Modulyss Introduces Inclusive Carpet Tiles

Belgium-based flooring design brand Modulyss has launched its latest capsule, featuring carpet tiles aimed at supporting interior design as a means of promoting inclusivity and neurodiversity. The company highlights the often overlooked role of carpet tiles in interior design concepts and aims to address the needs of diverse users in both physical and psychological scopes.

The new capsule offers carpet tiles designed to zone areas and act as spatial indications, particularly beneficial for individuals with visual impairments. Bright patterns and textures are incorporated into the design, providing visual and tactile cues for spatial navigation.

Modulyss emphasizes the significance of flooring in creating spaces that embrace diversity, stating, “Well-chosen carpet features can elevate your design and foster an environment of comfort and inclusion.”

The company has developed nine carpet tile collections, each offering various design variations to cater to inclusive interior design needs. Examples include the Artcore range, inspired by topographical landscapes, and the Modus collection, which references natural processes like rust formation.

All of Modulyss’ collections are cradle-to-cradle certified, supporting the circular economy by repurposing materials at the end of their lifespan.

Modulyss’ initiative reflects a growing trend in the industry towards inclusive design practices, prioritizing accessibility and comfort in interior spaces. With innovative carpet tiles, the company aims to revolutionize interior design practices, making them more supportive of diverse user experiences and sensory needs.
