Brintons, a world-renowned leader in luxury woven carpets, has launched its highly anticipated Summer 2024 design collection, titled “Rihla Road.” Created by Brintons Senior Designer Nicole Bennett, the collection beautifully captures the essence of Morocco, drawing inspiration from its ancient cities, bustling souks, and majestic landscapes.
“Rihla Road” is more than just a carpet collection; it’s a tribute to the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Morocco, interpreted through the eyes of a designer deeply influenced by her family’s legacy of creativity. Nicole Bennett, who comes from a lineage of talented artists—including her grandmother, mother, and aunts—credits her interior designer grandmother’s extensive travels for the inspiration behind this collection.
“My grandmother was an interior designer who traveled the world, collecting fabrics and art pieces that reflected the beauty of different cultures. Morocco, with its stunning architecture and vibrant souks, was one of her favorite destinations. Her collection of fabrics sparked my passion for textile design and inspired me to create the patterns in Rihla Road,” says Nicole.
The collection features five distinct patterns that evoke the medieval souks, rugged mountains, and near-deserted towns of Morocco. From geometric precision to vibrant colors, each design is a homage to the timeless allure of Moroccan artistry.
Originally designed as Axminster patterns, the designs in “Rihla Road” are versatile and can be adapted across various carpet constructions, including Axminster, Wilton, Hand Tufted, or Machine Tufted. Clients have the option to use the patterns as they are or customize them to suit specific needs.
“Rihla Road” by Brintons is a captivating blend of creativity and cultural heritage, offering a unique and luxurious way to bring the beauty of Morocco into any space.
