Summer Brings Exciting News from Zollanvari
Summer is here, albeit with inconsistent weather, as some regions continue to experience rain. To brighten the season, Zollanvari proudly unveils the latest version of the Erratic Tiles design from the Gabbehs Abstract & Plain/Tiles Collection. This exquisite piece is currently featured in COVER and Rug Insider magazines, showcased in a stunning interior setting.
Exploring Design Trends
Zollanvari has been closely following ICFF New York and Clerkenwell Design Week through online media reports, both of which have showcased inspirational designs. The team is now looking forward to attending 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen in mid-June to explore the latest trends in northern European product and interior design. Attendees are encouraged to connect if they are in the area.
New Stockist in Kaunas
June will also see Zollanvari traveling to Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city, to visit one of its newest stockists, Laura Bohne of Lauros Namai. The gallery, established in 2007, is unique in Lithuania and specializes in 19th and 20th-century Persian carpets from Iran and the northern Caucasus. Laura Bohne has cultivated a clientele that appreciates the luxury and authenticity of these weaving works of art.
October In-House Event
In other news, Zollanvari is delighted to announce that Karin Testa, a decorative painter and interior designer from Testa St Moritz, will be the third speaker at their In-House event in October. She will join Camilla Douraghy-Fischbacher, Creative Director of Fischbacher 1819 & Fine Art Photographer, and Brais Rey of Turkestan Barcelona. The event will also feature a live weaving demonstration by nomadic weavers from the Zagros Mountain region, making it a must-attend on October 8, 2024. Interested parties should book their place by emailing mailto:event@zollanvari.ch.
Spotlight on Laura Bohne and Lauros Namai
Laura Bohne’s gallery, Lauros Namai, offers a captivating experience, reminiscent of Scheherazade’s tales. Her journey with Persian carpets began 20 years ago, leading to the establishment of her gallery. Laura’s discerning eye focuses on traditional weavings of the Luri and Ghashgha’i people, emphasizing colors and balanced ornaments. In addition to carpets, the gallery features luxury home accessories from prestigious brands and Laura’s own table-linen collection, ‘Herbarium Home Collection.’
Laura’s impressive background includes studies in International Business, Interior Design, and Art Appraisal. She is also a qualified Oriental Carpet Expert and has curated several notable exhibitions. Her association with Zollanvari began in 2007, and she has been a staunch advocate for their products ever since.
Zollanvari is proud to have Laura Bohne as an exclusive stockist in Kaunas, contributing to the city’s rich cultural tapestry.
