i4F Unveils AI-Powered Digital Showcase for DOMOTEX 2026 and SURFACES

i4F has announced that it will introduce a new AI-powered, digitally enhanced exhibition concept at the 2026 editions of DOMOTEX Hannover and SURFACES, marking a significant step in the company’s digital transformation strategy.

At DOMOTEX Hannover 2026 (Hall 20, Stand B20) and SURFACES 2026 in Las Vegas (Booth #2447), i4F will present an experience-based digital showcase designed to make technology exploration more intuitive and interactive. Powered by AI systems, the new stand concept will allow visitors to engage with i4F’s innovations at their own pace, access targeted information efficiently, and experience content that dynamically adapts to individual interests.

ai4F: i4F’s New AI Strategy

The digital platform will also serve as the launchpad for i4F’s AI strategy, introduced under the umbrella name ai4F. According to the company, this initiative aims to accelerate innovation cycles, improve efficiency for licensees, and support faster time-to-market across the global flooring industry.

Alongside ai4F, the showcase will feature i4F’s core technologies, including its flagship drop-lock systems, HerringB/ONE, and water-resistant solutions such as AquaProtect and i-Click4U, all demonstrated through the new digitally driven format.

Two New Stair Tread Technologies

A key highlight of the 2026 showcases will be the official presentation of two new Stair Tread Technologies. Developed to address one of the flooring industry’s long-standing challenges, these solutions enable seamless floor-to-stair integration using the same material, décor, texture, and height.

Compatible with SPC, LVT, WPC, laminate, and wood, the technologies support both L-shaped and U-shaped stair constructions, including top steps and landings. Designed to be water-resistant and engineered for safety, performance, and installation speed, the systems eliminate the need for trimming, aluminum profiles, or structural stair modifications. The result is a continuous design flow where floors and stairs visually align across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

CeraGrout Expands from Floors to Walls

i4F will also debut CeraGrout Wall, extending its well-known CeraGrout technology beyond flooring applications. The wall solution replicates the aesthetic of modern rectified ceramics while incorporating a simplified locking system adapted for wall installation.

Featuring fully waterproof, pre-attached grout technology on SPC panels, CeraGrout Wall is designed for use in bathrooms and kitchens, offering easier cleaning, improved hygiene, and greater resistance to staining.

Industry Perspective

Commenting on the announcement, John Rietveldt, CEO of i4F, said that 2026 represents a pivotal year for the company. He noted that i4F is translating strategy into action by applying AI and advanced digital platforms to help licensees deliver high-quality solutions more efficiently. He added that i4F is also leading the move toward seamless design, connecting floors, walls, and now stairs into a unified visual experience.

With its AI-powered showcase and expanded technology portfolio, i4F is positioning itself at the forefront of the flooring industry’s shift toward digitalization and integrated design at DOMOTEX Hannover and SURFACES 2026.
