Bolon Launches Riff Carpet Collection Inspired by Musical Rhythm

Swedish contract flooring brand Bolon has introduced Riff, a new carpet collection inspired by the flow and repetition of a musical riff. The series blends precision with organic expression, creating designs that feel intricate up close yet calming from a distance.
“In this concept, we want to showcase rhythm by letting the communication unfold to a beat,” said Annica Eklund, Bolon’s chief creative officer. “Tempo, rhythm, flow and pulse … a modern, snappy, happy concept full of energy and emotion. On beat and on point.”

Design and Color Palette

Riff’s distinctive 3D surface effect produces a shimmering quality as light reflects across its curated palette of black, beige and gray. Designers can use the versatile neutrals to build either strong contrasts or subtle harmonies.

Exclusively available as tiles, the collection is practical and sustainable—easy to repair, reuse and recycle. It performs seamlessly in monolithic installations as well as in quarter-turn layouts that highlight Bolon’s light-play qualities.

The collection offers 16 colorways, including Blackish Taupe, Blackish Rose, Blackish Red, Blackish Brown, Blackish Chrome, Blackish Mint, Blackish Marine, Blackish Teal, Greyish Rose, Greyish Mint, Greyish Metal, Greyish Teal, and four Naturelle shades—Yellow, Chrome, Red, and Green.

Sustainability and Distribution

Sustainability remains central to Bolon’s identity. All flooring and rugs are produced in Sweden with 68% waste material, in a climate-neutral facility with zero climate impact.
In North America, the collection will be distributed exclusively through Matter Surfaces, targeting corporate and education sector projects.
