Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2025 Opens Its Doors, Spotlighting Sustainability and Global Innovation

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2025 officially opened today at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), reaffirming its role as Asia’s leading business platform for the global home and contract textile industry.

Running from 20 – 22 August 2025, the fair brings together 884 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, including eight debut countries such as Bulgaria, Egypt, Finland, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Vietnam. The event spans 100,000 sqm across four halls (5.1H, 5.2H, 6.1H, 6.2H), offering a comprehensive sourcing and networking platform for international and domestic buyers.

This year’s fair is structured around 15+ product zones, featuring upholstery and sofa fabrics, curtains, carpets and rugs, bedding, sun protection, fibres and yarns, and more. In addition to the Belgium Zone and Turkey Zone, six major Chinese regional pavilions (Haining, Shaoxing, Huzhou, Shengze, Linping, Tongxiang) highlight the country’s strong home textile clusters.

Organisers expect 35,500 trade visitors from around the world to attend this edition, building on the strong momentum of 2024 when visitor numbers rose by 10%. Pre-registrations from 63 countries and regions and 19 confirmed buyer delegations demonstrate the fair’s growing international reach, with participants arriving from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Beyond sourcing, the exhibition hosts an extensive fringe programme, with four thematic pillars guiding discussions:

  • NextGen – future-focused materials and AI trends (Future & Textile Zone)
  • Palette – 2026/27 China Home Textile Trends and guided design tours
  • Connector – Home Textiles x Interior Decoration Summit and market strategy seminars
  • Go-Green – Econogy Forum addressing sustainability and technology integration

Special features such as the Editors Zone, IKASAS Japanese Home Design Gallery, and the 8th China International Fibre Art Exhibition further enrich the visitor experience, blending business with creativity and innovation.

As the show opens, the spotlight remains firmly on sustainability, innovation, and international collaboration – themes that continue to shape the future of the global home textiles industry.
