Chinese technical textile machinery manufacturer Kuntai has announced plans to establish a subsidiary and production base in Morocco through its wholly owned unit, Kuntai Hongjing Co., Ltd. The investment, unveiled at the end of July, is valued at up to 100 million RMB (approximately 126.5 million Moroccan dirhams).
The new facility will focus on carpet production and product development for the European automotive market. It will integrate research, development, manufacturing, and sales, while also helping the company build a localized service network to strengthen its presence in Europe.
This move is a strategic step in Kuntai’s global expansion plan, complementing its existing production bases in China and Mexico. The project is currently awaiting necessary government approvals and could face operational risks during its implementation.
Founded in 1985, Kuntai Group is a leading manufacturer specializing in technical textile machinery such as laminating, cutting, and bronzing machines, with customers spanning industries from automotive interiors to military and footwear sectors.
