Pakistan to Host 41st International Exhibition of Hand-Knotted Carpets in October 2025

Pakistan is set to host the 41st International Exhibition of Hand-Knotted Carpets from October 7 to 9, 2025, a major event expected to be one of Asia’s largest trade fairs dedicated to handmade carpets, rugs, and floor coverings.

The announcement was made by Ejazur Rehman, Chairman of the Carpet Training Institute and a member of the Exhibition Management Committee, during a recent review meeting on the event’s preparations. He emphasized that the exhibition will serve as a premier sourcing platform for international buyers, designers, and sourcing agents, offering direct access to the finest hand-knotted carpets crafted by Pakistan’s leading manufacturers and exporters.

More than just a commercial gathering, the exhibition aims to celebrate Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and promote the timeless artistry of hand-knotted carpet weaving—an ancestral skill passed down through generations.

“Pakistan is an ideal destination for sourcing handmade carpets due to its exceptional skill base, diverse designs, and unmatched quality,” said Rehman. He added that the event is being organized under a Business-to-Business (B2B) model, enabling direct networking opportunities and meaningful trade engagements.

Rehman also extended a strong call to local carpet manufacturers to participate in the fair, stressing that this is a unique global platform to showcase Pakistani craftsmanship and secure new international partnerships.

The exhibition is organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) and is poised to attract widespread international attention, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as a key player in the global handmade carpet industry.
