BALAT MENSUCAT SAN. TİC. A.Ş., one of Türkiye’s long-established carpet manufacturers, will take part in ICFE Istanbul 2026, scheduled to take place from 6–9 January 2026 at the Istanbul Fair Center. The exhibition is organized by Tüyap Fuarcılık and is expected to host a wide range of carpet and flooring producers from Türkiye and international markets.
Balat Mensucat’s roots go back more than four generations through the Erkent family, one of Gaziantep’s oldest and most respected weaving and trading families. The company began its journey in 1940 with kilim production on handlooms. In 1961, operations expanded into factory-based kilim manufacturing, followed by further investments including yarn dyeing facilities in Istanbul and weaving workshops in Gaziantep. The company takes its name from Istanbul’s historic Balat district, where its first commercial activities were established. Over time, Balat strengthened its corporate structure, becoming a joint-stock company in 1983.

Today, Balat Mensucat operates across multiple carpet and floor covering segments, offering machine-made carpets, kilims, prayer rugs, mats, and wall-to-wall carpet solutions. At ICFE Istanbul 2026, the company will present products from several of its brands, including RASCHEL CARPET, DAHLIA, BUNNY, MOOPY, and EMERALD. These collections cover applications ranging from decorative machine-made carpets and kilims to tufted and woven wall-to-wall carpets, as well as functional mat products.
Balat Mensucat will welcome visitors at Hall 1, Stand 141A, where industry professionals, buyers, and distributors can explore its product portfolio and discuss potential cooperation opportunities. The company’s participation highlights its continued focus on maintaining a visible presence at key regional exhibitions.
